Questions, answered.
Why ginger?
Ginger's been the fix for an upset stomach for generations, from ginger tea to the shots at the health food counter. We didn't invent that trust — we just made it something you'll actually take every single day, without the burn or the fridge.
The product
Ginger shots, edited. Each serving (2 capsules) contains 1000mg of ginger extract standardised to 10% gingerols — 100mg of gingerols — plus 100mg vitamin C (125% NRV) and 8mg silica. No sugar, no calories, no burn, no fridge. 60 capsules (30 servings) per pouch.
Gingerols are the pungent active compounds in fresh ginger — the molecules responsible for both the burn and the benefits ginger is studied for. "Standardised to 10% gingerols" means every serving carries the same measured amount, which fresh juice can't promise.
Three things: ginger root extract (standardised to 10% gingerols), vitamin C (ascorbic acid), and silica, in a plant-derived HPMC capsule shell. No sugar, sweeteners, flavourings, fillers or preservatives.
Yes — the capsule shell is plant-derived HPMC and the formula contains no animal-derived ingredients.
No. The extract is sealed inside the capsule — no taste, no burn, no aftertaste.
No — Pocket Shots contain no major allergens. Always check the label for the most up-to-date information.
Taking them
Take 2 capsules (one serving) daily with water. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Whenever your routine will actually remember them — most people take theirs in the morning, with or without food. There's no wrong time.
Ginger is generally well tolerated at supplement doses. Very high intakes can cause mild digestive discomfort in some people. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, taking medication (particularly blood-thinners), or have a medical condition, speak to your GP or pharmacist before taking any food supplement. Keep out of reach of children.
One serving of erha (2 capsules) provides 100 mg of declared gingerols.
Using Plenish’s regular 60 ml Ginger Immunity shot as an example: Plenish states 15 g of cold-pressed ginger per shot and lists 24% ginger in its ingredients. Our working estimate assumes 1.77 mg of gingerols per gram of that ginger. This assumption has not been independently verified.
15 × 1.77 = 26.55 mg estimated gingerols per shot.
100 ÷ 26.55 = 3.77 ≈ 4×.
That is where our approximate four-shot comparison comes from. It compares declared gingerol content in two erha capsules with an estimated amount for one regular Plenish shot. It is not a laboratory measurement of the finished Plenish drink or a measured difference in health effects.
The low and high assumptions in this working estimate (0.363–2.921 mg/g) give a range of approximately 5–44 mg per shot, so the ratio depends on the assumption used.
